Greetings to you from all of us here at the Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) headquarters in Seoul. We sincerely hope that this message finds you and your loved ones in peace and good health.
HWPL is an international organization which pursues the goal of resolving the present armed conflicts around the world in a peaceful manner. Two affiliated organizations, International Peace Youth Group (IPYG) and International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG) work side by side as left and right wings to HWPL and together, the works of peace we engage in transcend all borders, races, and religions.
In September 2014, HWPL hosted the World Alliance of Religions' Peace (WARP) Summit in Seoul, Republic of Korea. Former and current heads of state, chief justices, law makers, journalists, representatives of youth and women’s organizations and religious leaders from all around the world participated to show their eager support for peace works led by HWPL.
During the main session of the summit, the participants pledged in the sight of God, all people of the world, and the Peace Advocate to propose drafts in an international law for the cessation of wars and renunciation of international armed conflicts and unite all religions under the Creator. Heaven and earth were called as witnesses to this unprecedented moment.
Since then, HWPL and its members have established the World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Offices where an in-depth dialogue is held through comparing and understanding religious scriptures and unite them under the one that provides the most trustworthy testimony. With definitive solutions to establish world peace, our peace delegation made up of myself as chairman of HWPL, chairwoman of IWPG, and director of IPYG have gone around the world twenty-four times, meeting with various national and community leaders in both secular and religious fields. In many occasions, I have delivered speech and pleas on behalf of students and the youth who sacrificed their lives in war. We consulted with chief justices, law makers, and lawyers for their guidance on international law to peacefully resolve present conflicts. After we expressed our intentions, many pledged to work as part of peace community.
Since it was first inaugurated during 1st Annual Commemoration of September 18th WARP Summit, HWPL International Law Peace Committee strenuously strived to collectively draft Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) through consecutive meetings. Then, on 14 March 2016, the draft of Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War was publicly proclaimed. The Legislate Peace Campaign was also launched in order for youth, women and civil organizations to urge the public and the heads of state to sign their support for the further development DPCW into an enforceable law for peacebuilding.
On September 17th through 19th 2016, HWPL is hosting the 2nd Annual Commemoration of September 18th WARP Summit to share various projects HWPL and its partner organizations have accomplished in the past years, as promised. Most importantly, the summit will focus on holding substantive meetings for plan of action for the establishment of world peace through advocacy and development the DPCW. It is my great honor to invite you to come and join us to commemorate this historic event.
The cessation of war and world peace is possible. Peace is not achieved by one individual or by one country or a corporation, but rather it is achieved by the combined efforts of everyone, the efforts of the global family on this earth like yourself.
For the rest of our lives, let us commit to the cause of world peace, the work that will be remembered in history forever. This will begin with participating at the 2nd Annual Commemoration of September 18th WARP Summit. Let us achieve world peace and leave it as a legacy for the future generations.
